Masculine card

I always have trouble with masculine cards.
I made this simple and easy one today.

Coloring Challenge Day 30

For the last day of the challenge I made this butterfly birthday card.
I stamped the back butterflies and sentiment with my MISTI.
Then I heat embossed and colored the butterfly and mounted it with some
foam tape to stand out a little.
I have really enjoyed this 30 days of coloring!

Coloring Challenge Day 29

Today is coloring challenge 29.
I stamped the image on white cardstock and then heat embossed it
with gold embossing powder.
I then colored with distress ink.
Last step is I ran it through the matching embossing folder.
Added some lace and wallah, a finished card!

Coloring Challenge Day 28

I tried a new technique today for the coloring challenge.
I ran my cardstock through the embossing folder.
After it was embossed, I ran a white crayon over the embossed cardstock.
I then colored with distress ink.  I wiped off the ink
with a paper towel.
Look how those flowers stand out!
I love this technique and will be doing it again.

Coloring Challenge Day 27

Today's coloring challenge is a simple card I made last night after
getting home from a night out with the girls.
We saw Grease at the high school and it was so good.
I had this background that is mixed media that I made last year at Cozy Crop House.
I stamped and colored the flower with Spectrum Noir markers and added some
Wink Of Stella glitter to it, then fussy cut it.
That's simple enough to me!

I needed some pet sympathy cards so I made this card
for Day 26 of the coloring challenge.

Coloring Challenge Day 25

For today's challenge I stamped the background
stamp in Versamark ink, then heat embossed with silver embossing powder.
I colored the background with distress inks.
Then I ran it through the matching embossing folder.
I added a silver ribbon to finish it off.
I made 16 of these as I thought they were so pretty.
They will go out in tomorrow's mail to all my crafting friends!

Coloring Challenge Day 24

For today's card I used the same technique that
I used on Coloring Challenge Day 9.
A fun technique that I will definitely try again.

Coloring Challenge Day 23

For Day 23 I made this pretty little birthday card.
I stamped the flowers in black and then colored them
with Spectrum Noir markers.
Sorry my picture is not the best,
The flash made my black paper look grey. :(

Coloring Challenge Day 22

I made this quickie card today for the coloring challenge.
It did not turn out as I wanted.
I did not have time to make another one as I had a doctor's appt.
Hopefully tomorrow's card will be better.

Coloring Challenge Day 21

For today coloring challenge, I stamped the image and sentiment
in black ink and then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.
I colored the flowers and I dabbed distress ink around the edges.
A pretty simple card as I had company today.

Coloring Challenge Day 20

It has been so fun doing these daily coloring challenges.
For day 20 I put some distress ink on a piece of white cardstock.
I then spritzed some water on that distress ink.
I stamped the butterflies in black on that ink, then cut them
out with the matching dies.
I used a Cuttlebug folder for the background
and a sentiment from a stamp I have had forever.

Coloring challenge Day 19

For today's color challenge, I put distress ink inside of an embossing
folder, then I spritzed it with water.  I put water color paper in the folder
and ran it through the Big Shot.  I made a couple of flowers and added a sentiment
and there is my card.  My hubby took the picture and it seems to me the
card is way prettier in person.  The picture looks a little dull to me.

Coloring Challenge Day 18

I had a most busy day today so
I put this card together really fast.
I heat embossed the flowers and then colored
with crayola markers.
Added a sentiment and a few dots and there you have it!
Easy peasy!

Coloring Challenge Day 17

For today's card I did a technique that I learned from Tim Holtz.
I put drops of alcohol ink on glossy cardstock and then
sprayed it around the cardstock with a can of spray air.
I love the technique as it is so fun!
Enjoy!

Coloring Challenge Day 16

For today's card I used a stencil and a brush.
I tapped the brush into distress ink and then tapped it again on my paper for this soft look.
I thought it was to plain so to grunge it up as little, I added some paint drops to it.
I was not real pleased with the final result but my husband said
this would make a great masculine card.
So I kept it instead of it going in the trash can!

Coloring Challenge Day 15

Today's card is a favorite of mine.
I stamped this large background stamp
with black ink.  Then heat it embossed it
with clear embossing powder.
I then colored it in rainbow form with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.
I added a die cut and sentiment to finish it up.

Coloring Challenge Day 14

Today's card is made with a sunflower stamp that I have had
since I first started stamping.
I always have loved the darker colored sunflowers
so I colored this one with oranges and reds.

As you can see, I don't take the best pictures.

Coloring Challenge Day 13

For today's coloring challenge I tried the Boca technique.
It is supposed to a soft look like a photo.
Not bad for my first try!

Coloring Challenge Day 12

I had so many projects to do today,
so I did not take much time coloring.
I made this quickie card for today's
coloring challenge.

Coloring Challenge Day 11

Today's card came out of necessity!
We had a friend pass away and I needed a sympathy card
so I did today's coloring accordingly.

I started with navy blue paper and stamped the background
with Hero Art's white ink.
I then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
When the embossing was dry, I colored some of the flowers
with Spectrum Noir markers.

I just added a sentiment and some twine as I did not
want to cover up that pretty background.

Coloring Challenge Day 10

Today's card is a card I made in a hurry and made a mistake.
Instead of throwing it away, I put a piece of purple paper in an
embossing folder and Wallah, my mistake is covered up!
Card turned out pretty nice too.

Coloring Challenge Day 9

Today's card comes from a technique on Jennifer McGuire's blog.
I stamped the flowers in Versamark and then heat embossed them
with white embossing powder.
Then I took purple distress ink and went over the whole page.
I then took a brush with water and went over the flowers.
After they dried and the color was lighter, I put some
blue distress ink on my craft sheet and used a paint brush
dipped in water and painted the flowers.  I did the same with
green distress ink in the centers.
A little washi tape and a sentiment,
and there you have it!!!
Enjoy!

Coloring Challenge Day 8

Today's card is a simple card using a new stamp I got.
I stamped the image with black ink and then heat
embossed it with clear embossing powder.
I then went over the whole oval with distress ink and a sponge.

I did not have a lot of time to craft today as I went out to lunch
and shopping with my friend Kim to celebrate her birthday!

Coloring Challenge Day 7

Today is Super Bowl Sunday.
Not much time for crafting,
so I put this card together real quick.
This stamp is from Close To My Heart
and I got it from my friend Ronni.

I should have made the card in orange in blue for my team.

Go Broncos!

Coloring Challenge Day 6

I got this retired Stampin Up set at a yard sale.
It was brand new and never used and I got it for $1.

I picked it up last Fall and it has never been inked since.

I decided today to get it out and start playing.

Here is the end result for today's coloring challenge.

Enjoy!

Coloring Challenge Day 5

Today's card is a time consuming one but the results are always beautiful!
I used a negative image stamp and stamped it with Versafine ink.
Then I heat embossed my image with white embossing powder.
I put some distress inks on a craft sheet and dipped a water brush
in them to color the flowers.
I stamped the craft paper with some white flowers to make my image pop a little.
My sentiment is from Hobby Lobby.
I learned this technique from a class I took at Archiver's when I first started card making.
I thought it was so difficult then.
Now it is just super fun!
Oh how far I have come in card making!

Coloring Challenge Day 4

Here is a quick card I made today for the coloring challenge.
I am sick as a dog with bronchitis so I went with simple and easy.
I am not good with masculine cards, so I thought I would
do today's card in masculine colors.

Coloring Challenge Day 3

On today's card I colored my stamp with Ranger distress markers.
I then spritzed the stamp with water and then stamped it on white card stock
I added a ribbon and a sentiment and I thought it turned out pretty good.
The Stamp is made by Penny Black.

Coloring Challeng Day 2

I heat embossed the poppies and then colored with
Spectrum Noir Markers.  The little orange dots
are from Stampin Up.  The poppy stamp is made
by Technique Tuesday and I bought it at JoAnn Fabrics.

Coloring Challenge Day One

I joined a daily coloring challenge for the month of February.
Here is my project for today.
I  heat embossed the flowers in black and then colored
them with Spectrum Noir Markers.
