Thank you cards

My girlfriend Kim asked me to make her some thank you cards
to send to friends after her father's passing.  She asked me to make them elegant
but simple.  I thought these would fit the bill.
I used a Taylored Expressions die and the sentiment
is from Stampin Up.

Napkin Craze

Well I learned a new technique using Mod Podge and table napkins
this week and I went crazy making them.  They turned out so colorful and beautiful.
I don't think my camera shows the bling very well but they are blingy for sure.
I am in a Facebook group that swapped napkins
and that is where a lot of the napkins came from on these cards.

Pewter Technique

I went to a new craft store in town and they were demonstrating this
pewter technique.  I thought it was so cool that I had to come home
and try it.  For my first try, I thought it came out pretty good.  The bow
is a die I bought at Adventures in Stamping that same day.

Pet Sympathy Cards

A friend of mine asked me to make her some pet sympathy cards.
This was way out of my comfort zone but I did get her 12 cards made.
Just sharing!

Red and Black Birthday

I am going to Cozy Crop again in April.
I have been making card kits to take with me.
This was one kit that was fun to make.
These flowers are a new die from Nestabilities.
I am always drawn to red and black for
some reason!
I have been running out of cards for personal use
so I am making a ton of these at Cozy Crop just for me
to use!

Distress Inks and Watercolor

I got some new Ranger distress inks for Christmas.  Today I played with
them a little.  I ran the ink on the inside of an embossing folder and then misted it with water.
I put watercolor paper in the folder and ran it through my Cuttlebug.
I like how it turned out.  I also stamped distress ink on my heart stamp and then misted it
with water before I stamped it.
These will go in my next box for Operation Write Home.

2 Step Stamping

The other day, my friend Cindy made a card using a 2 step stamping set.
While talking to her on the phone, I realized I had the same set and never used it.
Cindy taught me how to do the two time steps and how to use my
Stamp-a-ma-jig.  I have had that thing for years and it has never been
out of the package.  Well, hooray for me, I got it out and used it
and now I love it.
All the flowers on these three cards have been double stamped.
I used all the stamps in the set and made multiples of these 3 cards for my next
box to Operation Write Home.
Thanks Cindy!
