Alcohol Markers on Silver Paper

My friend Ann taught me how to do this technique this morning.
You take alcohol markers and color randomly
on silver paper.  You then run it through an embossing folder.
I made a bunch of these backgrounds as I loved how they turned out.
I need to practice a little as I don't like the stripe look.
They are still beautiful though and I am sure
I will be using this technique for a while.

Scrappy Backgrounds

Whenever I use a 6x6 pad, I save all the extra pieces
and make scrappy background cards.
I made some birthday cards with this pad
and had all these scraps left
so I made these 6 scrappy backgrounds.
It is good use of scraps and the cards
come out colorful but all matching
at the same time.

Material Christmas cards

My friend Ann challenged me to
make 5 Christmas cards in January.
Debbie gave me this material
so I used it to make 6 cards.

They were fun to make and a little challenging
with the colors.  With John's help, I got it right.
He is a second pair of eyes for me.

Hope you like them too!
Enjoy!!!

Material cards

My friend Debbie sews a lot
and she asked me if I wanted her scraps
to make cards with.  Of course I said yes.
She was even nice enough to sew a design around them.
Here is the first card I did with the blue denim like material.

Debbie cut the edges with pinking shears and some
are not perfect, but that is the joy of home made cards.
I put two die cuts on this one and some brads.

This one is probably my favorite as I love this background material.
I put dies on all the backgrounds as I don't know
what else to do with material cards.

Hope you enjoyed as much as I have.
I guess it is just the newness of material
that has me jolly!!!!

For military card drive

My friend is assembling some boxes of cards to send
to her daughter's unit in Afghanistan.
I got this new stamp before Christmas and have never used it.
I thought this would be a good time.
I stamped the image in black and then
embossed with clear embossing powder.
I colored it with my Studio 71 alcohol markers.
To finish it off I added a border and
used a "miss you" die.

I am thinking the die gets a little lost and if
I make another one the "miss you" should be matted.
