Spellbinder Poinsettia Tags

I could not sleep at all last night so I got up at 4 am
and made these Christmas tags.
The poinsettia is a Spellbinder die cut out
and then ran through my Big shot with the swiss dot
embossing folder.
The Joy is cut on my Cricut.

I put To and From on the back of the tag,
with the letters cut from my Cricut!

I thought they turned out real nice.

Tiny Little Flowers

I got these new dies and of course I had to play
They were very time consuming to cut but
I had lots of fun.
I tried to choose darker colors
for this time of year
instead of pinks, lavenders and aquas.

I made 6 of these to have on hand for when needed.
Enjoy!

Stitched Flower Dies

My friend sent me a bunch of these stitched flowers
so I turned them into cards.
I made a total of 21 cards with them.
I might have to order these dies
as these cards came out so cute.

Cosmos

My friend Pam knew I liked flowers
so she sent me some of these stamped flowers.
I colored them with my Studio 71 alcohol markers.
The picture really does not bring out the bright colors
that the flowers are.
I love how this turned out and I
might have to purchase this stamp.
One of the prettiest cards
I have ever made.
Thanks Pam!

Pretty Flowers

It seems like I never have enough birthday cards.
I made 5 of these and I tried to use
Fall shades when I colored them.
The stamp and die are from Stampendous.
I used Spectrum Noir inks to color them.
The embossing folder is from Darice.

Material note cards

I made some note cards out of material
that I had bought at while I
was at Cozy Crop.

I am going to give this set to my niece
for her 30th birthday.

I had fun with material and am going
to play with more tomorrow.
I will be back with more photos!
Enjoy!

Scrappy Backgrounds

I had bits and pieces from 2 different 6x6 pads and
decided to make scrappy backgrounds.
Each one turns out different and they are fun to do.
So colorful and pretty!

These will go in my box to for the troops.

Silent Night

I got this huge background stamp and
did not know what to do with it
so I made a Christmas card out of it.
I used distress oxide inks for the background
and then stamped in black Versafine ink.
I added a star to make it look more like
Christmas!

I am thinking this would make a great
Halloween card in different colors.

Junkie Fest gifts

I have only met Jessie Hansen one time and she knew I was disappointed
that I did not get to go to Junkie Fest.
Out of the goodness of her heart,
she sent me some of the goodies
that she received from the event.
I am over whelmed at her generousity
and cannot wait to play.

There ARE good and kind people in the world and
Jessie is one of them!

New Ink Rack

I got some new Versa-fine Claire inks a while back
and they did not fit in my ink rack.
John being the wonderful husband that he is,
made me a new ink rack to fit the Claire inks.
He even left some room if they would come
out in new colors.

Now I have an old ink rack and don't know what to do with it.

Foiling

On Friday I foiled backgrounds and on Saturday
I put all these together.
They are all pretty foiled cards
but the camera does not pick up the shine well.

Here is a little closer look!

I had fun making them and using up some of the
many supplies that I have.

A couple of cards

I am doing some challenges on one of my facebook groups.
The challenge was to make a coffee card.

The next challenge was to make a baby card.

The last challenge was to make a card using something that inspired you.
I pass a field of red sunflowers on the way to Johnny's house
so I was inspired by that and made this card.
I water colored it and my phone did not get the colors right.
It is much prettier in person.

Playing with Distress Oxide Inks

I got out my Distress Oxide inks and played all day.
I made a ton of cards.
Here are some of my favorites.
Enjoy!

Stickles

I made some Color Burst backgrounds when I was at Cozy Crop.
I used one to make this card.
I had colored this flower and added way too many Stickles
and did not know what to do with it.
I found these backgrounds in my box of goodies
and thought they might look good together.
Wallah!!!
Not sure about all the Stickles glitter though.

I made this pretty little card for my niece Ella's birthday.
I thought it turned out cute, so I shared it here!

10 Cards by breakfast

I could not sleep last night and got up and made cards.
I had 10 done by breakfast.
By suppertime, I had completed 23 cards.
I used a 6x6 pack of foil paper that I got at A C Moore
while in Pennsylvania.  I struggle with foils and wanted
to just use that whole pad up.
My dies helped to use up a lot of that paper.
By suppertime I had done it.
I would say it was a productive day
and I even stopped for a bit to go
to the farmer's market.

Here is one of the cards I made and I am posting it so you
can see the foil paper a little better.
Foil does not photograph well, so try to improvise.

50th anniversary card

We are going to a 50th anniversary party for
John's Uncle Mike and Aunt Bonnie Varga.
I wanted to do something in gold and struggled
to come up with an idea.
I finally came up with this.

I put hearts and the number 50 on the inside,
then stamped "Happy Anniversary"!

God Bless America

July 4 was always a favorite holiday of mine.
We would got to my Uncle Freddy's and have the best time.
He would cook us lamb on the skewer
and that was a treat for us all.
Of course, there was tons of food and family.
He invited anyone and everyone.
My cousins would come from Kentucky!
Aunt Lilly would get out that paddle ball and go crazy.
Of course there were card games, Skip Bo and Phase Ten.
Then at dark we would do sparklers on the porch
and walk to Lake Ann for fireworks.

Oh the memories, sure do miss Freddy and Lilly!

Napkin thank you

I had knee replacement surgery 3 weeks ago and I needed
some thank you cards for all the people that did kind
deeds for me.

Today was the first day since my surgery that I felt like coming to the craft room.
I had these napkins Mod Podged for a while and never used them,
I decided to get them out and make a card with them.

Then I remembered I got a new die and the light bulb went off.
This is the final project.
Sorry you cannot see the glittery napkin in this photo.

Hopefully tomorrow I can get to my craft room
and make a few more.
I have a lot of napkins to use up!!!

Big Rose

I got this new rose stamp and background die
in the mail this week.  I thought I would play with them,
I am not sure I like the die with the rose as the card is a bit busy.
I love the rose though and will be making many cards with it.

Sucker tags

My girlfriend asked me to make her
some tags to put on suckers
for a baby shower.
This is what I came up with.
She will tie a pretty ribbon on them
and finish them up.
I like them!

Zentangle flowers

I took some flowers and stamped them
and then did some zentangle doodles on them.
I thought they turned out kind of neat.

Here they are on the finished cards.
I like how I popped a little red in the middle to
bring it all together.

Here is a close up if you want to see the scribbles better.
Something different than just coloring.

Enjoy!

Merry and Bright

\

I decided to start working on some Christmas cards
because if I have surgery on my knee
I won't be able to use the steps to go
to my craft room for about 6 weeks.
This is from the Gina K. Merry and Bright Kit.
I only made 4 of these as I ran out of silver embossing powder.
I tried it with gold embossing powder and I just did not like it as well.
It makes a stunning card without embellishments or anything
and will mail well since it is flat!
Enjoy!

Poinsettia Christmas Card

I started making Christmas cards and this is one I came up with.
It is using products from my Gina K. Merry and Bright kit.
I love how it turned out.
It took me the whole darn morning
but I got 8 of these cards made.
Enjoy!

Barn Door

I got this new stamp in the mail yesterday
and wanted to play with it today.
I worked and worked until I came up with this design.
The inside of the card says
"And nothing but happiness come through your door"

I think I will put this set in a bag with coordinating papers
and inks and turn it into a card kit for Cozy Crop!
I will make several of them as I know just who I will
send them too!

Stampin Up Kit

I have had this Stampin Up kit for about 2 years
and hardly ever used it.
I got it out today and made this card
and I love how it turned out.
I am taking these stamps to Cozy Crop
so I can make a bunch more.

Distress Oxide Butterfly

I made some Distress Oxide backgrounds and today
I found out you could heat emboss over them.
I love how this turned out.

The Daily Marker Coloring Challenge Day 30

This is the last day of the coloring challenge.
This image is from Dover Publications that I got off of Google.
I had the sentiment and I thought it would look great with Crocus.
I colored with Prisma Colored pencils.
Washi take is the background.
Hubby just loved this card,
I like it but I did not think it was that great!

The Daily Marker Coloring Challenge Day 29

I am in a new pen pal group
and this morning I got up early
and made cards for some of the group.
I will write inside these this afternon
and get them to the mailbox.
I used the Rubbernecker stamp I got
at the Whipper store in Wisconsin.
You stamp the images in black and then
go back and stamp the middles with watercolor.
I forgot to use watercolor paper but I thought they
turned out nice anyway.
I wanted something simple as I had
to make so many.

The Daily Marker Coloring Challenge Day 27

This is another one of those big Stampin Up flowers that I told you
that you would see again.
I used Spectrum Noir markers and put a pretty border around it.
I just noticed that my bow is wonky.
I should have fixed it before I took the picture!
I hope this is enough birthday cards.
I was really out!

The Daily Marker Coloring Challenge Day 25

I got this stamp in the mail today
and decided to ink it up.
I water colored it with Zig markers
I am not the best at water coloring, but I am learning.
I read somewhere that your water color picture is supposed to look sloppy!
I thought it needed a nice border so I used this scalloped border.

The Daily Marker Coloring Challenge Day 24

I colored this flower from Stampin Up with my Spectrum Noir markers.
I actually stamped and colored a bunch of them in different shades
so you will see those on later blog posts.
The sentiment is from Stampin Up also.
I am trying to use up things in my craft room
so I had an idea to put vellum over top of printed paper.
I liked the way it turned out and might use vellum more often.

My intention was to make a bunch of cards today but that did not
happen as we got 7 inches of snow dumped on us.
I went out and helped John shovel and fed the birds etc.
After that I never got back in my craft room.
I am going to calling hours now so maybe when
I get back, I can go up there this evening and create.

The Daily Marker Coloring Challenge Day 23

My cousin asked me to make her some dog cards.
I had these dog stamps
and decided to ink them up.
I have never taken coloring lessons
and I know my coloring has a lot to
be desired.
I know she will like them anyway
as I am always my worst critic.
