Religious cards

My sister wanted me to make some religious cards
for her to give to different people at her church.
This one has paper from Hobby Lobby and the sentiment
is from Stampin Up.  The embellishments are from
a from Sizzix Flower Layer Set #3. The little embellishment
in the middle is called Candies and I love using them
as they are pretty flat.  The layering paper is from Hollo's
Paper Store, a favorite store of mine and my friend Cindy!

Scraps

My friend Cindy has been encouraging me to post more cards on my blog in 2014.  I decided to use up some of my scrap pile and make cards just with scraps.  Here is a selection that I worked on last week.  I know these are not the best pictures and I am working on a light box thanks to Cindy and Paula.  It is too frigidly cold to go out and get the supplies for it right now but at least I can tell Cindy that I have a blog post!!!  Hope you enjoy!

Texture Boot Camp

In this month's boot camp Paula talks about texture.  By running my ink pad down the side of the white card stock, I have created visual texture.  I heat embossed the flower and then fussy cut it and added it with dimension dots to create the tactile texture.  I also added the flourish in the back for visual and tactile texture.
My favorite boot camp so far!!!

Boot Camp

I am trying to use up some scraps, so I created this card for this month's boot camp.
My card is asymmetrical.  The Stamp is from Hobby Lobby and the papers are from
scraps.  The flower embellishments were also punched from scraps.  The black striped
washi tape is from Michaels. I aligned the image just to make the card look different.

White space

On Paula's last Boot Camp she talked about white space and how it can be used as a design element.
Here is my card with "white space".  I ran the white cardstock through my Cuttlebug and then distressed it.

Paint samples

We had all these paint samples left over from when we redecorated the house
and they have been sitting around for about a year or so.  I decided there must be a way
to use them on a card and this is what I came up with.  I like all the different colors.
It was an awful lot of cutting though.  These 6 cards took several hours to make.
