Christmas cards for March

I am trying to make 5 Christmas cards a month
so I am not in a big crunch time
come the holidays.
These are my five cards for March.
The poinsettia die is from Spellbinders
and I have had it forever.

10th Anniversary card

My friend asked me to make her a simple
10th anniversary card for her to
give to her daughter and son in law.
She wanted it a little fancy, but simple.
I like how this turned out.

Birthday Candles

Lani was here visiting from Boston
and we crafted together.
This is the card we came up with.
This is a new die I got in the mail.
We decided to use it and make a colorful card.
It was fun as two heads are better than one.
I wish Lani lived closer so we could craft together
more often!

Lace Die

I got this new lace die and decided
to play with it.
I think it would make a beautiful
wedding card.
As I cut it in black, I am not sure
I like the pink layer.
Probably just should have made that
layer black.
Oh well, live and learn.

Alcohol Markers on Silver Paper

My friend Ann taught me how to do this technique this morning.
You take alcohol markers and color randomly
on silver paper.  You then run it through an embossing folder.
I made a bunch of these backgrounds as I loved how they turned out.
I need to practice a little as I don't like the stripe look.
They are still beautiful though and I am sure
I will be using this technique for a while.

Scrappy Backgrounds

Whenever I use a 6x6 pad, I save all the extra pieces
and make scrappy background cards.
I made some birthday cards with this pad
and had all these scraps left
so I made these 6 scrappy backgrounds.
It is good use of scraps and the cards
come out colorful but all matching
at the same time.
