Sesame Street
My niece Chloe came over and helped me make these Sesame Street Character cards. We had a lot of fun and she was very helpful. I hope she comes back soon as I need to make some Angry Birds cards. My kids grew up on Sesame Street programs and I have a great respect for the tv show. We made all these cards with punches and die cuts.

Let it snow
I stamped the image with Versamark black ink. I used Glossy Accents on the snow.
I punched out a circle and stamped little snowflakes in aqua ink. I let it dry and then
added the sentiment. I used my distress markers to color the image. The snowflakes are
from a Martha Stewart punch. The middle of the snowflakes are little acrylic beads that I
dyed with alcohol ink. The polka dot background paper is made by Recollections and is
from Michaels. I had fun making this card because it is outside my normal card making
which is always flowers!!!

My friend Kim and I went to Olive Garden for lunch and then I drug her and her sore foot to Pat Catan's
craft store. I was so excited to get this embossing folder on sale for $2.50. We were walking out and Kim
found this set of flourish stamps on clearance. When I got to the register the stamps rang up for
50 cents. I hit the jackpot that day and didn't even have to go to the casino!!!
I stamped the flourish in red ink and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.
It is real shiny and pretty but the picture doesn't show and give it justice.

I was playing around with watercolor techniques that I had learned in my creative chemistry class last Spring.
I colored the stamps with distress markers the spritzed them with water before stamping them. It is kind of a wild color selection but I thought it all came together well. The background was so busy I did not put a lot of ribbon or embellishment on it.

Welcome to Sherry's Craft Room. This is my new blog that my daughter helped me make as I am very
illiterate when it comes to computers. I make cards for personal use and I also make cards for Operation
Write Home. I have been making cards for about 5 years and I have met some great friends with my hobby and looking forward to getting into blog circles and getting inspiration and also sharing my crafts. Thanks for stopping by!
